M&M Cookies

Makes about 3 dozen

1/2 c. unsalted butter

1/2 c. butter flavored shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 t. vanilla
2 eggs
1 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. M&Ms

Preheat oven to 350.

Cream the butter, shortening, both sugars and vanilla together with an electric mixer until fluffy.

Slowly add in each egg one at a time and mix together.

Then mix in the baking soda, salt and flour.

Add in the M&Ms and mix by hand until incorporated well.

Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and bake for 11 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Let cool and store in an airtight container.
